A limited-time $100,000 match means every dollar you give goes twice as far to protect the rivers we all depend on.

Right now, something powerful is happening across Tuolumne County.

Through a new initiative from the Sonora Area Foundation, every donation made to local nonprofits is being matched dollar for dollar—up to $100,000 total.

That means your gift to Yosemite Rivers Alliance can go twice as far to protect the rivers, forests, and communities we all depend on.

No gimmicks. No fine print.

Just real impact—multiplied.

How the Match Works

Here’s how you can double your impact:

  • Give any amount to Yosemite Rivers Alliance

  • Your gift is matched 1:1 by the Sonora Area Foundation

  • Up to $1,000 per individual (or $2,000 per couple)

  • Each nonprofit can receive up to $10,000 in matching funds

  • 100% of your donation goes directly to the nonprofit you choose

  • No administrative fees are taken from your gift or the match

The match is available until the $100,000 pool is fully used

How to Give (Important)

To unlock the match, donations must be made through the Sonora Area Foundation.

Option 1: Give Online

  1. Visit: sonora-area.org

  2. Make your donation to the “You Give We Give” Fund

  3. In the “Additional Notes” field, write: Yosemite Rivers Alliance

Option 2: Give by Check

  • Make your check payable to: Sonora Area Foundation

  • In the memo line, write: Yosemite Rivers Alliance

That’s it—your gift will be matched automatically.

From the Sierra to the Central Valley, our rivers connect us all.

They provide:

  • Clean drinking water for millions

  • Habitat for wildlife

  • Lifelines for farms and communities

  • Places to gather, restore, and reconnect

But right now, that system is under pressure—from climate change, wildfire, and shrinking public investment.

At the same time, local communities and organizations are stepping up to meet the moment.

This matching fund is designed to do one thing:

Help our community meet this moment—together.

Tuolumne County has always been a place where people show up for each other.

This is one of those moments.

Because when you give, we give.
And our whole community benefits.
