Help Us Reach 150 Voices at the Bay-Delta Water Board Hearings

Thank you to everyone who registered for — and joined — our recent speaker training ahead of the upcoming Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan hearings. Seeing so many people show up ready to learn, listen, and speak up for California’s rivers was deeply encouraging.

As a coalition, our goal is to turn out at least 150 people to participate in the State Water Resources Control Board hearings on January 28–30. This level of public participation sends a powerful message: Californians care about healthy rivers, thriving salmon, and water decisions grounded in science and the public interest.

Whether you attended the training live, watched later, or are just learning about this opportunity, there are still many ways to get involved.

Watch the Speaker Training Recording

If you weren’t able to join us live — or if you’d like a refresher — you can watch the full speaker training recording here:

The training walks through:

  • What to expect during the Water Board hearings

  • How to prepare a clear and effective public comment

  • Tips for feeling confident, even if you’ve never spoken at a hearing before

You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to care — and your voice truly matters.
