Building Beaver Dam Like structures at Cottonwood Meadow

  • Cottonwood Meadow Groveland, California United States (map)

July 24th | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM | Cottonwood Meadow, Stanislaus National Forest

Get your feet wet — literally — and help us restore a meadow one structure at a time. Join us to build Beaver Dam Like structures in the main channel at Cottonwood Meadow.

Beaver dam structures are a powerful, nature-based tool for restoring meadows hit hard by drought and overuse. When water slows and spreads, everything benefits — plants, wildlife, soil, and the downstream communities that depend on healthy watersheds.

No experience necessary. We'll provide all the tools and instruction you need. Just bring a sense of adventure and be ready to spend a full day working outdoors in uneven, occasionally wet terrain.

Space is limited. Register below to secure your spot — exact location details will be sent once you're signed up.

This project is supported by the National Forest Foundation (NFF). They are an equal opportunity provider.
